Simantikos believes that dance education should be accessible, affordable, and can further develop children in ways outside of technique. At Simantikos, our students gain confidence, self-awareness, spatial awareness, strength, flexibility, and are given an opportunity to foster and grow in their creativity. Through classes, we watch our students further develop a sense of self-discipline that we know will aid them academically, physically, and emotionally.

Haley is a Chicago-based dancer/choreographer/instructor and the founder and artistic director of Simantikos Dance Chicago.
She graduated from Indiana University in 2015, where she performed and understudied works by Paul Taylor, David Parsons, Dayton Contemporary Dance Ensemble, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, and more.
Haley has attended numerous workshops and masterclasses, including those through CNADM, Interlochen Arts Academy, Thodos, River North, and Dance Italia.
Haley has collaborated and presented work throughout Chicago, New York, Canada, and Italy.

We currently looking at dates and locations for our Winter Recital (this will be informal - no costume fee).
We have always informally been a sort of "pay-what-you-can program" in that we've encouraged our families to let us know if they are interested in classes but the prices make it inaccessible.
We are extremely excited to be moving formally to a pay-what-you-can-model.
Check out our new registration to find rates from our normal rates (about $10/class to free).
We are moving to a monthly subscription/payment model to ensure that amongst the evolving public health protocols, our families can opt out on a monthly basis of classes if the possibility of a format change (for instance - moving live classes to zoom if our city moves back to an early phase).

Simantikos currently partners with four Chicago preschools to provide just over 80 students weekly dance classes including creative movement exercises along with basic ballet, jazz, and hip hop vocabulary.
Through each lesson, Simantikos incorporates early education National Core Arts Standards and objectives linked to strengthening social emotional learning skills.
Simantikos is always happy to provide a free trial session before any company officially books our weekly or bi-weekly programming.
