Rhythm 'n Motion was founded in 2007 to give students a safe and family-friendly atmosphere. Four years later, in 2011, it came under new ownership and has flourished. Dancers are taught in a structured and nurturing environment where we ensure the safety of dancers by using the proper training techniques, sprung dance floors, and marley flooring.
Our studio has high expectations of each dancer and trains the students in a pre-professional atmosphere. While we know that not every dancer will become a professional, we want to give them the knowledge and technique required if they choose to pursue that path. Our studio performs multiple times a year at parades, festivals, and community gatherings.
Students have the option to attend up to 3 dance festivals a year furthering their dance education. For our more serious students, we feature a non-profit company, Turning Pointe Dance Company. TPDC produces multiple performances throughout the year including their productions such as The Nutcracker: Candy Land Edition, Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Sleeping Beauty.

Turning Pointe Dance Company is a non-profit organization established in 2011 under IRS code 501 c (3).
The Company was created in order to educate its dancers and members of the community in classical dance forms as a performing art.
Members of the company will also learn the rehearsal process behind the performance aspect of full-length productions.
The company's goals are to perform two separate full-length productions a year, one in the fall and one in the spring, present educational outreach programs within the community and schools, as well as attend and perform at the WV State Dance Festival each year.
