Commonwealth Dance Academy offers a complete curriculum ranging from pre-school to professional courses. Students are encouraged to achieve their highest potential through individualized instruction by qualified teachers. Our entire staff is dedicated to the ideal of excellence in dance education, taught in a loving and nurturing environment. Commonwealth Dance Academy is committed to fostering the knowledge and love of dance within a caring and inclusive community.

We urge each student to strive daily for their personal best, as well as support one another in promoting a sense of teamwork inside and outside the classroom. We expect each student to develop a respect for themselves and others. We are a community where differences are embraced and no member demeans, belittles, or harms another physically or emotionally.

We recognize our responsibility to provide a welcoming and open environment where students of all backgrounds collaboratively learn. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are instrumental in the fulfillment of our values and mission.
Services
When I first started Commonwealth Dance Academy, the dance world didn't offer hip-hop, lyrical, improv, theater arts or contemporary dance in their classrooms; just ballet, tap, jazz, and modern.
In the last 38 years the dance world has changed quite a bit, and as the dance scene changed, Commonwealth Dance always adapted to offer the best training in each subject.
Over these 38 years Commonwealth Dance Academy has been my home and a second home to my faculty and most of the students in the academy.
Our dancers are teammates first.
We expect dancers to be positive, supportive, and respectful to one another.
Be kind and accept every dancer regardless of ability, ethnic origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.
Whether it be in person or online, demeaning or derogatory comments will not be tolerated.
There will be a zero tolerance policy for physical, mental, emotional or cyber bullying by a student or students against another student or students.
Such type of bullying behavior should be reported to parents and the directors of CDA if you become aware of it.
