For nearly 20 years, N-Step Dance Academy has been the home to hundreds of young dancers under the direction of Shanna Young. N-Step proudly provides quality training from qualified instructors. We foster a positive environment and always focus on helping our students grow and develop proper technique, as well as self-confidence, accountability, time-management, discipline and life long friendships!
We believe that dance has something to offer everyone! N-Step is absolutely amazing! I danced there when I was in school and now my daughter attends and she absolutely loves it! They are so welcoming and patient with all the kids! My daughter started out dancing at another studio in town but she has had a better experience at N-Step, mainly because she says the teachers are nicer here!

Shanna began dancing at a very young age, studying Tap, Ballet and Jazz; later gymnastics and cheerleading.
After a severe injury to her hip and ankle, she was told she could no longer do gymnastics.
Determined, she decided to try clogging.
She loved clogging and was a natural, she had the opportunity to go to Nashville several times and perform on the Grand Ole Opery stage, she got to meet the staff of Hee-Haw and solute her hometown.
She also worked with Merrill Osmond where she performed in TV specials, music videos, stadium of fire, and other performances for our troops abroad, Top Ten Honored Americans and other once in a lifetime opportunities.

N-Step non-competitive dance classes are available for all dancers ages 2-18, and are structured to get kids excited about movement.
They will learn rhythm, basic ballet and jazz technique and terminology, and a routine to perform in recitals.
We divide these classes up by age, with a maximum of 12 students per class.

Adult drop-in classes offered for $10.00 per class, or $45.00 for five classes.
Classes include technique and dance combinations in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip-Hop.
Each first year competitive team member will be required to purchase a traveling uniform, class uniform, and other miscellaneous items.
If you are a returning competition team member you only need to purchase the items you need.
