In 2016, Quinn Self and Austin Boyles c0-created Ignition Dance Academy. Ignition is a recreational and competitive dance studio based in Topeka, Kansas and offers introductory, intermediate, and advanced level classes to dancers ages 2-18+. At Ignition Dance Academy, it is each instructors mission to develop every individual that walks into its doors as both a dancer and a human being.
We have a strong belief here that no matter the circumstances, a positive, hard-working, and passionate student can be successful in any endeavor and it is our priority to encourage these behaviors in the judgement free home we offer. Moorea began her training at the age of 13 with Radiant Dance Studio and Topeka Ballet in Topeka, KS.
Moorea trained for two years before getting accepted into Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, where she would continue her dance education with highly established teachers such as Tim Edwards, Michael Blake, Colleen Barnes, and more.
Once returning to Kansas, she then began to competing with Ignition Dance Academy under the instruction of Austin Boyles, and Quinn self.
She competed with Ignition for three years where she received many overall titles and awards including a 2019 National Grand Championship.

While classes times, days, and classes offered will vary from season to season, this schedule may be used as an idea of what to look forward to going into our 2021-2022 class season.
At IDA, class levels are based on a combination of skill in said genre and age.
While placement tends to follow age more closely, there are occasional exceptions in order to offer the best experience for each student and class in whole.
If you have questions regarding which level your dancer should be taking class in or don't see a class upon enrolling, please let us know!

A one time $15 late fee will apply automatically if tuition is not paid 9 days after the marked due date.
There is no registration fee due for Summer Class enrollment.
Registration Fee - A one-time $45.00 registration fee is due at the end of your dancer's registration process each new dance season.
This fee runs per student enrolled and is effective at any point a new dancer may join.
Unlimited Class - Any dancer enrolled in 6 hours of or more of weekly class is automatically enrolled in IDA's unlimited class option.
