Carolina Dance Company offers a variety of dance classes in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, clogging, hip-hop, Acro and tumbling for ages 2 1/2 and up. We take pride in providing quality dance education in a positive, friendly environment. At our studio, each dancer is encouraged to reach their highest potential with personal attention in every class.
At Carolina Dance Company, dancers learn proper technique, but also gain coordination, strength, poise and self-confidence while learning an appreciation for dance. It is our hope that Carolina Dance Company dancers learn skills in dance class that they may carry with them throughout life.

Services
Mrs. Courtney is very passionate about dancing and teaching dance.
She began her dance training over 30 years ago under the instruction of Mrs. Sally Pope at The Dance Academy in Clinton, NC.
Under Mrs. Sally's instruction she took ballet, jazz and tap classes and dreamed about one day becoming one of the "big girls" who were a part of the Clinton Precision Cadets.
At 12 years old, not quite old enough to be a Cadet, she became captain of the Dance Academy Showstoppers.
In 1996, Mrs. Courtney danced with honor as a Showstopper in the opening number and final in The Dance Academy's final recital.

Class sizes are kept small to ensure that your dancer receives personal attention in a friendly and fun atmosphere.
A typical dance year runs September-April and summer programs are offered in June and July.

All shoe & apparel requirements should be purchased through Carolina Dance Company to ensure proper look & fit.
Specific leotard color, dance short color as well as shoe style and color will be required for participation in dance class, outside performances and recital.

Dates will be scheduled throughout June, July & August for shoe & apparel fittings.

CDC Instructors reserve the right to alter a dancer's schedule based on experience, maturity and progress.
Though we try to accomodate your age requests, we feel that having each child in the ability appropriate class is our paramount consideration.
We always want your child to be in the level where he or she will have the best learning experience.
Early Registration takes place each spring.
Currently enrolled dancers at Carolina Dance Company are given first priority for their choice of classes; students who are on a waiting list are given second priority for registration followed by new dancers.

Music & moves (approved by Mrs. Courtney, of course!) from popular TIK-TOKs will be used to inspire campers to learn & create choreography.
Campers will even have the opportunity to create their own TIK-TOK!
