SpotLite is a prominent dance studio comprised of 250+ students located in Murfreesboro, TN. We have a Nationally recognized, award winning Competition Team. We also have a wonderful recital and tot program for those who are not interested in the competitive aspect of dance but want to learn and grow as dancers. At SpotLite Dance Studio, we strive to assure that children learn what the value of dance truly means.
We promote competition as a positive learning experience, not solely on winning top awards. We encourage children to perform the best they can and to use their talents to the best of their abilities. We also promote the same spirit in our recital classes offering our students the opportunity to be proud of who they are individually and their progression in their talents.
We feel we have accomplished a successful dance season when the children get off stage during recital or at a competition feeling confident they have done the best they can and are happy with their performance.

Services
Our Brand New facility is located in the middle of the Blackman Community off Fortress Blvd at 4075 Luke Court in Murfreesboro, TN.
We have 3 large dance rooms which all offer 1,500 sq ft of dance space per room!
This allows plenty of space for each dancer to enjoy the art of dance while being comfortable at the same time.
All of our rooms have mirrored walls, ballet bars and brand new audio equipment!
The dance floors consist of carpet pad (bottom layer), wood subfloor (middle layer) and marley (top layer).

Students learn ballet vocabulary by using the barre and center work while building strength, flexibility and technique.
Hip-Hop - Classes cover various hip-hop movements.
Students will learn movement combinations in each class.
The class will serve to connect students' images of music video "hip hop" and underground trends in contemporary hip-hop.
Jazz - Classes cover basic jazz dance techniques, terminology and movement quality with an emphasis on proper execution of jazz isolations, rhythms, and style performed to contemporary music.
Students learn ballet vocabulary by using the barre and center work while building strength, flexibility and technique.

Solid colored (any color) leotard, pink tights, leather or canvas ballet shoes (Pointe shoes - see instructor if you have this class).
No tutus or scarf skirts.
Hair must be pulled back off the face and in a bun, if possible.
All dancers must come to class in the proper dance attire, leotard, & tights.
No dance pants or half tops for this class.
Sports bra top (no t-shirts), jazz pants or dance shorts (also called boy shorts in the dance stores and catalogs - dancedistributors.com or discountdancestudio.com has the boy shorts on sale), jazz shoes, dance paws, foot undeez, or Pedini's.

Dancers will dance and leap across the sea as mermaids in this sparkling summer camp.
The last 15 minutes of the last day, parents are welcome to come watch their little mermaids in a magical routine!
You will also get to participate in fun crafts and activities.
