Step By Step was founded in 1996 by Pamela Caira who dreamt of opening a dance studio where children could learn the art of dance in a safe and creative manner. Step By Step offers recreational, competitive, and private dance instruction for children and adults. We offer a wide variety of dance instruction in Toddler programs, Pre-school classes, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Acro, and Musical Theatre.
In addition to dance classes in various styles, our program has expanded to include group packages for Quinceanera dance, Group Wedding dances, kids parties and more! Our qualified staff is available with customizable packages for students looking for competitive dance opportunities. Step By Step provides every student with a dance education that builds their character and inspires them to achieve their personal goals.
The studio has a family feel that creates a supportive environment in which students can grow. Our goal is to make children and families feel welcome and included in our community from the moment they step into our studio.

The dance floor served as a vessel of healing where she felt at home.
With a strong desire to share her creativity and discipline with the community, the one room studio located in Newton, MA, offered Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip-Hop classes.
As Pam's dedication to the community grew, so did her classroom.
After seven years Step- By- Step relocated to Waltham expanding its space to three studios adding a diverse staff that offered a wide variety of dance genres such as Latin, Irish, Contemporary, Acro, and Musical Theater.

Our space is air-conditioned with plenty of space to move and create in our three studio rooms.
Each dance room is equipped with wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, double ballet barres, and state of the art sound amplification.
Street shoes are not permitted inside the dance rooms.
We offer seated spaces for parents/guardians/caretakers who wish to wait during their child's lesson.

You can drop-in for an adult class and pay just $20, or you can purchase an eight-class card for $120.
Class cards are non-refundable and can be used toward any adult class held at any time throughout the dance season.
