DASSdance is a dance company and school in the heart of Seattle offering classes in Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop & Acro. Engaging students at the highest level in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Offering a variety of techniques that reflect the skills needed to be a successful contemporary dancer. Exploring the human condition through an All-Terrain approach to dance theater that engages a diverse contemporary community.
We call our Contemporary Dance style ALL-TERRAIN because the movement traverses multiple styles with a strength, ruggedness and beauty. The techniques we perform and teach derive from diverse cultural backgrounds. Utilizing clean balletic lines, modern release, jazz vocabulary and athletic acrobatics. We speak in a dance language that exemplifies the contrastive forces of contemporary life.
DASSdance is open to in-person classes with safety precautions put in place to protect our dancers and provide a safe dance experience. All classes are open for online attendance for dancers unable to attend in-person classes.

Artistic Director/Choreographer Daniel Wilkins formed DASSdance in 1996 after seeing a need for daring and innovative movement in the dance community.

As students progress they are expected to expand their dance experience by taking multiple classes a week in variety of dance styles.

DASSdance has been putting on action-packed performances for almost 20 years, starting in NYC at venues such as the Joyce Soho, Barynishnakov Arts Center and Diane Von Furstenberg - The Theatre.

As the school grows, we are passionate about giving young dancers the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings.
DASSdance School has 4 annual performances that all dancers are eligible perform in, Nutcracker, All-4-1 Dancepolooza and Alice in Wonderland, as well as an all-student showcase in June.
