Inspiring Dance is one of the premier dance studios in Central Iowa, featuring classes, workshops, and camps for recreational and competitive dancers in the disciplines of ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and even more classes for strength and flexibility. We take pride in providing great instruction in fantastic facilities.
All of our faculty have extensive dance background and training, and our dance rooms have state-of-the-art sprung Marley floors with high ceilings. Inspiring Dance was founded with the goal of providing quality dance instruction in a positive environment. Our mission is to inspire others to learn and love dance as much as we do!
We have experience training all levels of dancers in a variety of styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and many others.
Jacque (Karns) Butzke is the owner and director of Inspiring Dance.
She has been dancing for over twenty years and been a dance instructor for over thirteen years.
She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, pointe and other styles.
In the summer of 2003, she traveled the East Coast as a Dance Olympus VIP and attended the Dance Teacher Conference in NYC.

Our spacious lobby and locker room have plenty of seating for waiting parents and for students trying to finish their homework between classes.
We have four large dance rooms with state-of-the-art sprung Marley dance floors, high ceilings, and powerful audio systems.
Studio Broadway is 46' x 33' (1,518 square feet) and provides a professional and fun atmosphere for many technique and recreational classes.
Our spacious lobby and locker room have plenty of seating for waiting parents and for students trying to finish their homework between classes.

Studio Broadway is 46' x 33' (1,518 square feet) and provides a professional and fun atmosphere for many technique and recreational classes.
Competition combo class for kids 4-5 years-by invite only.
We will learn tap and jazz skills and jazz competition choreography.
The focus of this class will be learning and mastering technical skills and dances in each functional area.
Competition combo class for kids 5-7 years-by invite only.
We will learn tap and jazz skills and competition choreography.
The Mini Team iD Ballet class is only for dancers on Mini Team.
This competition level dance class is generally for kids 8-10 years and the focus of each class is on technique and learning our competition choreography.
We will learn tap and jazz skills and jazz competition choreography.
The focus of this class will be learning and mastering technical skills and dances in each functional area.
Competition combo class for kids 5-7 years-by invite only.
We will learn tap and jazz skills and competition choreography.
The Mini Team iD Ballet class is only for dancers on Mini Team.
This competition level dance class is generally for kids 8-10 years and the focus of each class is on technique and learning our competition choreography.
Our competition dance team is comprised of four levels; Mini, Junior Middle School/High School and Senior teams.
Competition Team is by invite only for our Mini teams.
If your are new to iD and are interested in being considered for Mini teams, please let us know and we will be happy to set up an evaluation.
We have auditions in the summer for our senior and junior teams.
Middle School/High School Team iD does not require auditions.
Our competition dance program is set up to allow dancers the opportunity to train and compete at a higher level of dedication to the art of dance.
Competition Team is by invite only for our Mini teams.
If your are new to iD and are interested in being considered for Mini teams, please let us know and we will be happy to set up an evaluation.

Middle School/High School Team iD does not require auditions.
Our competition dance program is set up to allow dancers the opportunity to train and compete at a higher level of dedication to the art of dance.
We will have three shows this year.

Solos, duets and trios will be determined by Inspiring Dance faculty and may be placed in one recital.
What does the recital fee cover?
The recital fee covers the cost of renting the auditorium and backstage area, along with sound and lighting, custodial costs, and others.
Rather than charging for tickets, your recital fee allows you to bring an unlimited number of guests.
It will also cover any decorative props and/or backdrops.
Please see attachments for the list of dances in each show.
