The Stage Left Children's Theater, Inc. (SLCT) was founded in 1999, by Artistic Director, Ayn Lauren, whose hope is to provide cultural inspiration and development for children through the medium of theater. SLCT is a not-for-profit (501c3) young people's theater company, located in Rockland County, NY, devoted to quality productions for, by, and with children.
SLCT provides an environment in which young people develop life skills as they learn to use their imagination and creative energies to explore every aspect of theatrical production. From Alice In Wonderland to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, these workshops are for our smallest actors. SLCT offers various singing classes, musical workshops, and dance for beginner and intermediate level.
Great programs for pre-teens, including dance classes from beginner to advanced, Drama workshop, an On Camera class and more! Various workshops, including dance classes, technique and preparation for auditions are offered for high school freshman through seniors.

SLCT is the only non-profit organization in the county that provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary education in theater for students from Kindergarten to Twelfth grade.
SLCT uses education, collaboration and performance techniques as a catalyst for developing social and professional skills, responsibility, character, and integrity.

The Stage Left Children's Theater is a non-profit community children's theater organization, which relies on production fees of its cast members, advertisements in the programs / playbills, and ticket sales to provide all the financial support for its productions.
As the productions grow so do our expenses, elaborate sets/props, costumes, insurance, royalties, etc.
The remainder of the funds must be generated through grants, and gifts from the generosity of people like you.
