Alius Dance School aims to provide a solid foundation in dance technique for the youth, pre-professional, and adult student. Our methodology for training is based on the integration of new research in dance, cross training techniques and classical styles of dance to develop a dancer capable of sustaining a long, artistic career. Founded in 2013, ADS is proud to offer a unique dance program for all ages including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, and flamenco.
The Classical Division offers classical ballet and contemporary training for dancers ages 7 and up. The classes are designed around a structured technical ballet class. Students use the ballet barre to learn proper technique and vocabulary, flexibility, coordination, proper posture and alignment while building confidence. The Open Division is for students that would like to attend a class once a week and/or would like to participate in a variety of dance classes without the commitments of our Classical Division.
This division is suitable for dancers ages 7 & up.

Alius Dance School is excited to offer a Homeschool Dance Program.
This program, focused on a technical classical ballet curriculum, is formulated with the homeschooler in mind.
Our classes provide educational enrichment in the art of dance and physical education.
Curriculum: The classes are based on classical ballet methodology.
The dancers participate two to three times a week for 1 to 2 hours each day in ballet technique, conditioning, and ballet theory and history.
The students will have occasional research homework, quarterly assessments and a final evaluation class to demonstrate what has been learned through the school year.
This program, focused on a technical classical ballet curriculum, is formulated with the homeschooler in mind.

At Alius Dance School we like to give the dancers opportunities to showcase their progress.
We aim to have a minimum of 2 recital opportunities within the dance year.
These performing opportunities are a great part of their dance curriculum, building up confidence and team work to present proudly what they work on on a weekly basis.
We present a Holiday recital in December.
This recital is usually presented in our studio.
Based on student registration and social distancing guidelines, the event may be hosted at an outside venue.
We aim to have a minimum of 2 recital opportunities within the dance year.
