The Academy provides excellent dance training, discipline, an outlet for creativity and self-expression, and a professional atmosphere to all of its students. Our program includes five divisions: Fundamentals Division, Performance Division, Recreational Division, Praise Division, and Competition Division.
There is something special for every dancer at GDDA. Health and safety policies are in place including limited class sizes, hand sanitizing before & after class, 6-ft distancing between dancers, studio cleaning between classes, and more. A full list of policies and information is available upon request. Parents and teachers can read these fun and engaging ballet stories to their young dancers and let them dance along through guided movement suggestions.

Shine Limited - Shine dancers who wish to cut back their commitment may choose a minimum of 3 classes/week.
2 ballet classes required to continue pointe.
Not eligible for competition team.

A solid black leotard (or pink leo for PreBallet), RD pink tights (no footless or stirrups), RD pink split-sole ballet shoes, no skirts.
Skirts are permitted for Shine.
Black dance shorts permitted.
Shine dancers may wear any solid-colored leotard on Thursdays.
A solid colored leotard or fitted top (no bare stomachs), tan or pink tights and/or black dance shorts or leggings.
Other Requirements: Hair must be worn in a neat bun or similar style with NO BANGS for ballet.
Hair must be worn in a ponytail or similar style for all other classes.
Skirts are permitted for Shine.

Princess Camp is now FULL.
We recommend the Fancy Nancy Camp instead since it is similar and includes lots of fun, royal activities too!

This year, GDDT dancers are encouraged to audition for Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker since we are the host studio for their performance in York.
We will also present "Winter Wonders" this year as well as various outreach shows in our community.
In the spring, the company will rehearse special parts for our June Concert.
Shine I, II, & III - is for advanced dancers ages 12 & up.
These dancers attend Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz/Lyrical classes and rehearsals on Mon, Tues, Thurs, and some Saturdays.
