Denver's Ballet Ariel Company and School is building excitement about ballet, with beautiful, original ballets and great ballet and dance classes. Ballet Ariel is a professional company located in Denver, Colorado specializing in expressive, narrative ballets that meld classical traditions with contemporary themes and interpretations.

Founded in 1998 by Director Ilena Norton, Ballet Ariel has evolved into a laboratory for developing original classical ballets; a collaborative environment where the beauty of classical ballet comes together with narrative storytelling and a contemporary vision.In addition to developing new ballets, Ballet Ariel also stages classical works. Ballet Ariel emphasizes diversity in its company and education programs and offers an eclectic repertoire to attract broad spectrum audiences and participants.

Ballet Ariel has performed at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theatre since 1998, and now performs regularly at the Lakewood Cultural Center, the Schoolhouse Theatre, the PACE Center, and the Pinnacle Events Center.
Services
Ilena Norton, Artistic and Executive Director, founded Ballet Ariel in 1998 and has directed and created ballets for the Ballet Ariel Company including Ballerina by Degas, Appalachian Spring, and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.
Under her leadership, Ballet Ariel performs their season concerts at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theatre, the Lakewood Cultural Center, the PACE Center and Schoolhouse Theatre, and the Pinnacle Events Center and D.L. Parsons Theatre.
Ballet Ariel has also performed at the SCFD summerfest series at the Arvada Center for the Arts, the Passport to Culture series at the Lone Tree Arts Center, the Ballet Guild Showcase of Dance, the Mile High Dance Festival, the Cherry Hills winter series and on tour at the Tabor Opera House in Leadville, and with ArtCore in Casper, Wyoming.

Aspiring ballet dancers are invited to join our professional company in our beautiful production of the Nutcracker and our season of ballets.
Students will attend weekly class and rehearsals throughout the performance season to prepare for their special roles in our ballets.
Students receive quality ballet performance experience through rehearsals with our director Ilena Norton and ballet mistress Patricia Renzetti.
Scholarships are available for students with financial need.
Class and rehearsals will be held at the WABI studio 490 South Santa Fe Drive, Suite C in Denver.
Patricia Renzetti was the prima ballerina for the Colorado Ballet for twelve years, and also was a principal dancer with the London Festival Ballet (now English National Ballet), Scapino Ballet of Holland, Iranian National Ballet, and the Tampa Ballet.
She appeared as a guest ballerina with the Estonia National Ballet, Teatro Communale in Florence, Italy, and the Israel Ballet.
She has staged many classical ballets for Ballet Ariel including the pas de six from 'Napoli', 'Les Sylphides', 'La Vivandiere', and 'Pas de Quatre'.
