Fringe highly encourages our students to dress according to the genre of dance they are studying.
Following this guideline establishes a sense of professionalism in class, helps unify students, diminishes economic and social barriers between students, increases a sense of belonging and studio pride, and improves attendance.
Most importantly, dressing according to the standards we outline below helps prepare our students to be successful dancers in college and/or career settings.
Recommended attire includes ballet slippers, black tap shoes (slip-on, ribbon-tie, or velcro), a pink or black leotard, and a pair of nude, pink, or black tights.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we try to keep our dancers and their families safe during these challenging times.
Dancers, parents, and employees are encouraged to self-monitor symptoms and stay home when they are not well.
We recommend parents drop-off and pick-up their dancers, and we have breaks in between classes to allow time for dancers and employees to transition.
Parents may watch class from outside in an effort to minimize the number of people in the studio.

All classes run for 50 minutes and placement is determined by the Director (with input from other instructors as needed).
Initial placement is based on a student's age with consideration for his/her skill level and ability and prior experience.
The first month at Fringe is important for determining correct placement for a dancer, and every effort will be made to ensure students are placed according to their current skill level and potential.
Maximum class size ranges from 10 to 17 students.
If a class has reached capacity, a waiting list will be started.
