For over 25 years, American Dance Academy has been providing students of all ages with excellent dance training and we are thrilled to begin our 29th season! Classes begin in September and end with a dance recital held in spring. Summer dance programs are also available with camps and intensives. Students are taught dance technique along with socialization, use of energy, coordination, body awareness, and confidence.

Basic technique classes progress into single dance steps, combinations, and eventually into complete routines. We do offer optional participation in our bi-annual holiday show for those dancers who wish to add an additional performance each year. For the serious and technical dancers age 8 and up, we offer the ADA Dance Company which requires many hours of weekly training and dedication.

This group competes at the highest level of competition, receiving overall high scores, special awards, and choreography awards. They study year-round with guest teachers and choreographers, in addition to our fabulous staff.

Where your child takes dance class matters!
When looking for a studio, find one that has knowledgeable, experienced teachers.
Consider ones that care more about your child's personal and technical development than awards and studio recognition.
From the first "rite of passage" ballet class to the advanced, technique-driven dancer, find a place that will inspire passion and self-confidence in each and every student.
At ADA we want your child to find joy in dance, to inspire them to connect with their inner artist, and to encourage them to lead healthy lives.
American Dance Academy opened in 1993 under the direction of Darlene Giordano-Cummings.
The staff of American Dance Academy is made up of a wonderful group of caring people who have a genuine love for the art of dance and the children.
Our teachers take the responsibility to ensure that activities are safe and age/gender appropriate.
Our faculty has been teaching dance for a decade or more and has higher education backgrounds in fields such as dance, music, education, and child development.
With that experience, our teachers are able to encourage a positive, supportive and respectful working atmosphere while stimulating children's minds and physical skills.
Our WEE Dance is for Mommy (or Daddy/caregiver) and a tot.
It is designed to help aid in the development of skills appropriate for a 2-year-old.
For this reason, our class uses a parent or caregiver to help us orient the child into a classroom setting encouraging the development of fine and gross motor skills.
These skills are developed through the use of music, dance, and the support of those who love them.
Along with assisting in the development of motor skills in the children we incorporate sharing, taking turns, and following directions.
Our solid reputation for quality reflects our attitude and our mission to develop in each student genuine respect for dance as an art form.
Our goal is to instill a passion for performing and motivating our dancers to be the best they can be.
We believe that the many lessons learned by being a part of our groups are extremely important and valuable in young lives.
We promote self-esteem, self-assurance, self-confidence, social skills, and working together as a team to produce a wonderful end result.
