It is our mission to offer a fun, positive, non-competitive environment where our students feel secure and confident as they learn, experience, and perform many types of dance. Janet's Dance Studio wants to provide a family-style atmosphere with quality dance education and proper technique. We always choose age-appropriate movement, music, and costumes, keeping wholesome family values as a priority.

The instructors at Janet's Dance Studio are committed to a strong technique-based program that is both educational and fun. Our students learn to appreciate the art of dance, as well as form new friendships and learn the value of teamwork. We believe our program teaches much more than dance technique alone.

Discipline is a critical part of any learning environment, and with positive reinforcement we strive to instill respect, music appreciation, recognition of others' efforts, the building of strength and stamina and cooperation. At Janet's Dance Studio, instructors organize their classes according to guidelines that are part of a comprehensive graded curriculum.

Most dance studios seem to have qualified, friendly teachers, experience teaching children and a big show at the end of the year.
Aren't they all pretty much the same?
Does it really matter which place you decide to enroll?
There are many things that make a huge difference in the quality of instruction your child receives, including proper equipment, the environment and organization of the program.
Below are a few things your should know before selecting a dance studio.
Registering at Janet's Dance Studio is very easy.
At Janet's Dance Studio, our goal is to make every student excited about dance starting from their very first class.
The following guide is designed to help parents know what to expect in dance class and answer several common questions.
This is especially helpful for our dancers ages 3 through 6 years old.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so your dancer has time to go to the bathroom, put on his or her dance shoes and be ready to enter class when it starts.
Coming in late makes a child feel uncomfortable and left out.
Our program starts in the fall and ends in the spring for a total of 8 months.
Class times vary from 45 minutes to one hour, and longer for the older students.
Class meets each week except for some holiday breaks.
Those breaks will be on the calendar provided to each dancer at the beginning of the year.
We expect dancers to attend on a regular basis, but we do understand if they are sick or have a school function.
Just like with any educational program, the more class you miss the more material you miss as well.
