Established in 1986, The Hampstead Dance Academy, LLC. is conveniently located in southern New Hampshire and offers classes starting at age 2.5, beginner to professional. Classes are run throughout the weekdays-morning, afternoon, evening-and on Saturdays. Our dance classes offer a safe, comfortable and positive environment where each student can learn and grow.

We promote physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth in each child. Here at the Academy we build self-confidence, understanding and appreciation for one's body and a love for movement and dance. We also uphold all the CDC recommendation for clean and healthy studio. All area's of the studio are disinfected frequently. Masks are now optional.

Our teaching staff are excellent, enthusiastic dance instructors who have high standards and are well motivated and respected in their field. Instructors are professionally trained, accredited and dance certified. We are members in good standing with Dance Masters of America. In expanding our student's training, we expose them to many forms, techniques and styles of the performing arts through student conventions, workshops, and master classes.

This course is designed to introduce the little ones to the varieties of music and basic movements of the body.
The ballet program consists of barre work, center exercise and progressive steps across the floor.
The tap program introduces the little ones to the rhythmic sounds that are created by the feet, also using the barre, center exercises and progressive steps across the floor.
Our tumble play portion helps the little ones with their stretch, balance and gross motor skills.
Students are required to wear a solid color leotard and tights.
NO STRIPES, FLUORESCENT, LACE, DESIGNS OR BOWS of any kind.
Hair must be tied back and off of face and neck.
Boys may wear dance pants or sweat pants and tee-shirt of a solid color.
There are certain shoes that we use and once registered for class you will be given more details.
What if my child signs up for ballet - can she switch to a different class if she doesn't like the ballet class?.
I suggest this be done within the first two months of school, so when the student switches classes, she/he will not be too far behind.
No, however a commitment will need to be made by December when costumes are ordered for our annual recital.
Parents will have the opportunity to view classes from September through December.
We have cameras in our dance room and you may observe on two large television screens while sitting comfortably in our waiting area.
