Masks are REQUIRED for dancers, staff and parents at all time while inside the studio as required by the Contra Costa County Health Department. At Clayton Valley Dance Academy our passion for dance is shared in a positive and educational atmosphere where kindness and teamwork are paramount. We strive to provide the best quality education possible and treat all students equally.

We are so proud to have the best faculty in the area, bringing professional experience with backgrounds in dance performance and education to offer the best environment for dancers of all ages and levels. We aim to provide for all students with inspiration, wisdom and positive self-esteem in a safe and supporting environment. Clayton Valley Dance Academy opened in 2009. CVDA offers dance classes for ages 2 through adult, with a variety of disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater and more!
Services
Payments made after the 7th of each month will result in a $15.00 late fee.
Students will be dropped from class on the 20th of the month if tuition is not paid to make room for waitlisted students.
Please notify CVDA via e-mail 2 weeks prior to dropping to avoid being charged the next month's tuition.
We really appreciate this, as it allows us to notify students on our waiting lists.
You will be charged for the next month is we do not receive 2 weeks notice.
RATES: Tuition is charged according to number of classes per week, regardless of length of class.
At Clayton Valley Dance Academy we take great care in the placement of our dancers.
Placement in the correct level class ensures the development of proper technique and strength development to advance dancers quickly and without injury.
We are happy to schedule a free trial class for new students to determine placement.
We encourage parents to email the studio with questions about placement prior to regsitration.
Our youngest dancers will little or no experience.
Most classes combine 2 or 3 different genres of dance to expose new dancers to multiple styles in 1 class!
Leotards MUST be worn at all time - this may include unitards and biketards for jazz, tap, or combo class.
Girls - Leotard under loose-fitting top; Boys & Girls - sweats or loose-fitting shorts; NO bare midriffs or cut-off shirts; SHOES - White sneakers such as Vans or Converse.
Girls - leotard with leggings, dance shorts with tights OR jazz pants (any length); t-shirts optional.
Do you have old dance shoes with plenty of wear left?
Young dancers' feet often outgrow dance shoes long before the shoes are ready to stop dancing.
Please also see the "Studio Procedures" tab to learn and understand our new operational plans going forward.
The guidelines in the "Studio Procedures" will be put in front of any of the following procedures to follow local and county health orders.
Safety: Each dancer's safety is our top priority.
Parents and guardians, thank you for picking your student up on time after class.
Parents of students ages 10 and under, please arrive before class ends and escort your child to and from the studio.
For everyone's safety and protection, students 10 and under will not be allowed to leave the studio unaccompanied or to be picked up curbside.
At CVDA we are ONE competition company.
Our company consists of different groups with different genres and levels.
Dancers are placed in groups based on the needs of the instructor, skill level and ability.
Dancers can be in multiple groups depending on the instructors needs.
3 Dancers will be required to attend 3-5 regional competitions, local performances and Disneyland performance depending on the group they are assigned to.
