Pat's Dance Studio
In 1979 Ms. Pat, our founder, opened Pat's Dance in her basement with only seventeen children. We grew from there and in 1992, we moved to our home on Church Street. More Growth with Ms. Mel (previous Assistant Director) as our new owner in 2018. New and exciting things to come! We are a Performance based studio proudly contributing to our community.

Our studio is our HOME. A place where you're not judged. Where you are loved for who you are. My husband's make-shift bar was our dance barre! Our recitals for our first few years were held at the tiny white church on Merrick Road across from Ideals supermarket in Baldwin. Each year we grew, until enrollment was so big it was time to move from the basement.

Miss Carly is thrilled to be teaching at Pats!
She was our Substitute last season and taught in our summer Program.
She graduated Malverne High School and Long Island High School for the Arts and is currently finishing her last year at Nassau Community College as a dance major.
Some of you also my recognize her from Steele Schools 5th Grade zoom Dance party with Pat's last year!
Her favorite animal is the Florida Manatee and has even got to swim with them twice!
She also loves the Harry Potter movies!
She loved every minute of it and I am so happy that she found a Dance home at Pat's.
A graduating senior said, "Pat's does not care if you are the best dancer they care that you love to dance."
I knew Pat's would be our forever home when my daughter wanted to miss Girl Scout to practice for the recital (I'm the troop leader, smh).
On to the next adventure.
We love you all and can't wait to see what the future brings!
Can't thank the staff at Pats enough, especially Melanie Vaughan for 15 years of beautiful recitals, for having a significant role in shaping the woman and dancer my beautiful daughter has become, for being a place she considered a home full of people she loves like family.
African Dance African Dance is a cultural based style.
Every year we try to connect our lives to different native cultural styles.
Examples: African, Caribbean, Polynesian, Samoan, Egyptian traditions.
Moves and expressions become poetry and stories that are articulated with the entire body.
This is an open level dance class that is available to any age student.
Musical Theater Musical Theater combines acting, singing and dancing in one class.
Become a Broadway Star! Adding the element of acting to your dance will teach you to dance from the inside out and enhance your stage presence and performance.
