Erena Ishii Shevchuk has received City Commendation issued by The San Jose City Council in 2015, after receiving 1st place Classical and 1st place in character at The International Competition DANCE GRAND PRIX "ITALIA". She has also received 1st place in character dance at the Hungarian National Ballet Summer International. Mrs. Shevchuk has attended many well known school such San Francisco Ballet, Ballet San Jose, Ballet International de Caracas, Nina Novak Academy, and Asami Maki Ballet School.
Ms. Erena is trained in Balanchine, Cecchetti, and Bournaville. Erena first taught my now 18 year old daughter almost 9 years ago. She saw potential in her and encouraged her to follow her dreams. When Erena returned to the bay area four years ago we were excited to begin working with her again. She took my daughter and her dreams of becoming a professional dancer under her wing and became not only a trusted mentor, but also a valued friend.
Along with Erena's return we had the pleasure of getting to know Andrey.
