Founded in 1976 by Dennis Schroeder, Dance Factory has taught Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Salsa and Wedding First Dance lessons to half a million students. As one of the most established independent studios on the East Coast, Dance Factory has been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. We held weekly TV lessons on WJLA and have been broadcast internationally on Voice of America.
My husband and I decided to take some dance lessons before our wedding - no experience. We did the 3 lesson package with Dennis and it was perfect! We were short on time and decided with our instructor to combine the first two lessons into one session. Dennis was very accommodating with scheduling. Dennis was an excellent instructor - he is thoughtful, creative, and patient.
He worked with us to choreograph a dance we felt comfortable with and enjoyed! We felt confident for our first dance and received many compliments. Hands down, fantastic studio to go to for learning a first dance for your wedding. My fiance and I did three lessons with Maria, who was very patient and encouraging with our novice dancing skills.

To gain more confidence, you learn more lead/follow techniques and mechanics of different moves and dips.
To enjoy variety, you learn one or more of ballroom and Latin dance styles like waltz, foxtrot, tango, salsa, swing, rumba, cha cha, etc.
For either package, we customize your choreography if you like one OR we will teach you several dance patterns if you just want to dance.
