Marianne Kelley's School of Dance is a dance school in Midlothian, VA. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for students to explore creativity through dance. With qualified instructors, our dance school provides professional training in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop while maintaining a safe, and fun atmosphere for our students.

Classes at MKSD meet once a week, with a focus on both technical and artistic development in each dancer. Our experienced staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for your child to learn, have fun, and explore their abilities. We offer an accurate, comprehensive events calendar to all of our customers for your convenience. You will find dates for Open Houses, Picture Week, and Spring Recital Rehearsals, as well as upcoming appearances by our MKSD Company Dancers.

Services
Marianne Kelley's School of Dance offers a variety of dance lessons for girls and boys ages 3 to adult.
We are located near the Chesterfield Towne Center in Midlothian, VA.
Our teachers each hold a degree in dance, have professional experience, or have attended teacher training.
We are dedicated to providing a safe haven for our students to explore their technical and artistic abilities.
Our season culminates with an annual Spring Recital for our students to shine!
Marianne is a graduate of the prestigious National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada where she studied under world renowned teachers.
We prefer all dance clothing - including masks, to remain free of any text, as it may be distracting during classes.
Parents and students are not to make derogatory comments in person or in written format such as social media, texts, etc. concerning other students or MKSD Staff.
Students that become injured at MKSD or elsewhere must notify our staff and provide written doctors note as to the extent of the injury.
In the event that an injury will require prolonged healing time (4 or more weeks), the student may need to be removed from choreography, at the discretion of the staff.
Our "virtual mission" is to provide quality dance instruction in various styles for aspiring dancers ages 2 - adult.
The experienced staff of professional teachers will provide proper training, encouraging students to perform dance steps safely and correctly in the virtual atmosphere.
SET UP AHEAD OF TIME! - Be sure you have your camera angle arranged to maximize your teacher's view of you.
Bright lighting is recommended as well as limiting background distractions.
ARRIVE EARLY! - Arrive to class 5 - 10 minutes early to be admitted from the waiting room.
MKSD scheduling is created seasonally based on the feedback and requests we receive from our customers.
We do our best to make our schedule work for everyone.
With 5 separate dance studios within our facility, we have many options for you to choose from.
MKSD offers a variety of class start times, each meeting weekly throughout the session.
What to wear: Pink or Flesh tone tights, Navy Blue Leotard any style.
Ballet Shoes, Pointe shoes, Black Character Shoes (1 1/2 inch), Wrap skirt or knee length character skirt.
Hair in ballet bun, or secured style with no loose hair.
Bring Pink, White or Black practice platter tutu.
Prior to the camp, throughout June and July, dancers sign on for private lessons to learn their solo choreography.
During the Camp week, the day includes a group warm up, performance classes and run thru of solos alongside peers.
