Northern Illinois Dance Center is dedicated to providing you with not only a premium dance education, but also a memorable experience. We offer all kinds of dance classes; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and so on.
We are happy serve from communities such as; Sycamore, DeKalb, Genoa, Kirkland, Kingston, Rochelle, Malta, Maple Park, Claire, Marengo, Hampshire, Burlington, Cortland, and so on. We hope to be dancing with you soon! These classes are barre-based classes using a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and pilates.
The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range of motion movements. We will incorporate some resistance band, light dumbbells and body resistance work at times too.
