Finally, in the spring 2015, they brought together a few friends for casual dance classes.
When the session ended, enthusiasm was high for more.
Excited to continue high quality Tahitian dance instruction and to spread awareness of this unique art, they founded Ori Manea Tahitian Dance School.
When Loana, Tehani's sister, moved to the East Coast, she added her choreography and instruction to the mix.

Our philosophy is firmly founded in the dance as it is taught and performed in Tahiti today, and our instruction is based on the style of one of Tahiti's most famous and exciting dance companies, Tumata Robinson's Tahiti Ora.
The legendary Tumata Robinson founded her first dance group in the 1970s, in the middle of the Tahitian dance revival.
She then went on to create costumes for the renowned O Tahiti E before co-founding Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti, which soon became one of Tahiti's preeminent dance companies.

We offer beginner classes for dancers to focus on building a strong foundation, and a weekly intermediate to advanced level class for dancers with more experience.
