Founded in 1987, and under the direction of Owner/Artistic Director KATIE HOLTZEN since 2006, North Shore Dance Studio (NSDS) offers the greater Milwaukee/Mequon area a wonderful, family-like dance studio where students can learn in a fun and positive environment. NSDS offers a variety of recreational dance classes, including Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop; as well as The Company for the more serious dancer.
There are many performance opportunities throughout the year for all North Shore students! In December, NSDS produces the beloved holiday Ballet - The Nutcracker. Their impressive production features over 200 Ballet dancers and is open to all students, ages 2 and up. They also host a Benefit Concert every March, and an annual Recital where students are given the opportunity to showcase their work on stage in full costume!
NSDS would love to become your new dance family! The studio operates on a school schedule (September through June), but classes are open for registration at any time.

NSDS features two lobbys and two waiting areas, dressing rooms with cubbies and hooks for storage, and clean restroom facilities.
There are 5 dance studios, each with specialty dance flooring, Ballet barres and large mirrors.
North Shore also boasts a dance store boutique located on site for any of your dancewear and dance shoe needs.

Whether they are searching for more studio time, some one-on-one mentoring or just to brush up on some new or old skills, look no further, we have you covered.
Work one-on-one with one of our Elite Company members for 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons.
Payment is $10 for every 30 minutes and goes directly to your mentor.
What exactly is a Nova?
A Nova is a a bright star that shines incredibly intense.
Whether they are searching for more studio time, some one-on-one mentoring or just to brush up on some new or old skills, look no further, we have you covered.
Work one-on-one with one of our Elite Company members for 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons.
Payment is $10 for every 30 minutes and goes directly to your mentor.

If you elect to use a payment plan, a determined amount of money will be deducted from your account on the 10th of each month.

Costume Alterations - North Shore Dance Studio provides quality alterations (if needed) for your child for an additional $5-$10 per costume.
You may also contact Sew What Design Studio & Alterations for your dance costume alteration needs.
The shop also offers alterations services on bridal, formal wear, children's clothing, original hem on jeans, zipper replacements and more, as well as sewing classes for adults and children.

To date, the company has raised over $100,000 to provide to various charities including organizations for Alzheimer's, Strokes, Heart Disease, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis, The March of Dimes, and many more.
The dancers, teachers, and community come together to raise funds to help out friends, family, and organizations in need.
The entire weekend is spent performing for a great cause.
