We serve recreational students seeking healthy after-school enrichment to serious dancers with a passion for dance. Select students perform year-round or pursue dance in higher education. Countless more students build skills, discipline, friendships, and memories to last a lifetime! The mission of the School is to make authentic, excellent dance training more accessible.
We seek to impart love and knowledge of the art form, while treating each student with attention and care. Our experts can guide your dancer to his or her fullest potential, whatever that may be.

Williston School of Dance is a non-profit project of the GFWC Williston Junior Woman's Club.
A School of Dance Committee, comprised of select volunteer Club members, manages the School.
All current committee staff also happen to be proud parents of WSD dancers.
All our staff pay full tuition and fees for our children, contributing our fair share the same as any other parents.
We strive to make your quality training as satisfying as possible, and our not-for-profit school is an unparalleled value in professional studio dance.

Our preschool and kindergarten dancers learn tap in a combination class that includes ballet.
This lets our 'little ones' try out two contrasting types of dance within one class.
Starting in first grade, students then study tap within its own class, emphasizing rhythm and ear training.
Our tappers learn both rhythm tap (hoofing) and show tap (Broadway) vocabulary and aesthetics.

Jazz dance is an American art encompassing: classic jazz, contemporary movement, period styles like Charleston and swing, and pop culture trends.
First graders and older can start.
Students have a great time dancing to the latest Top 40 hits, to Hollywood and Broadway songs, and more!
Ballet training is extremely helpful to jazz dancers, but is not required.
We also suggest tap dance, which provides the aspiring professional with the tools for musical theatre and commercial work on the stage and screen.

Dress Up and Dance, for 3-4 year olds, is a ballet-based creative movement class.
At 30 minutes long, once a week, it is just right for our youngest dancers, with lots of costumes, props, and imaginative direction.
KinderBallet/Tap is our next offering, open to Pre-K children who turn five within that academic year.
An hour long, the class is half tap, half ballet, and the students perform two recital routines in our annual May stage production.
Four-year-olds are also eligible for our week-long ballet summer camps.
