We are thrilled to announce the public opening of the Dance With Us platform, a place to engage with dance. Dance With Us: Educational Digital Platform Launches With Premieres of Series of New Dance Films! Years in the making, we are most excited to announce the presentation of Dance With Us, an educational digital platform centered around the premiere of a series of new dance films.

The kickoff events include an exclusive guided tour of the website, a screening of several short films, the World Premieres of Willow and Dollhouse, and previews of six new dance films that will launch monthly through the end of 2021. The events are free with advance registration. Donations are accepted via the Company's PayPal Giving Fund, where 100% of contributions go to the nonprofit.

Mixing discussions, dancing, and conversations, the interactive premiere promises to be highly accessible, entertaining and educational. This multi-faceted project explains ways to view and speak about dance. Utilizing performance and studio footage, the resource demystifies concert dance by teaching fundamental concepts of the art form.

The acclaimed New York-based Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, a nonprofit organization directed by choreographer, master teacher and dancer Daniel Gwirtzman, has demonstrated a commitment to exceptionally-high quality programming since its inception in 1998.
In 2008, in honor of its tenth anniversary, The New York Sun noted that the Company was "founded upon a philosophy that dance should celebrate human achievement through a combination of discipline and unbound optimism."
The Company cultivates the creation of innovative art and presents this through programming that allows anyone to join in the dance in a variety of ways.
What's your dance background?
I attended the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts as a Contemporary Dance Major.
From 2009- 2012 I trained in the Cunningham Technique at the Merce Cunningham Studio.
During that time I was a member of the Repertory Understudy Group for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, learning and performing Merce Cunningham's work alongside the main company.
Since January of 2012, I have been dancing with the Mark Morris Dance Group.
I have also danced for Rashaun Mitchell, Helen Simoneau Danse, Neta Pulvermacher, and have danced with the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company since 2006.
Thanks to the generosity of the Ucross Foundation I've received the extraordinary opportunity to be in residence for five weeks at glorious Ucross, northeastern Wyoming, near Montana, population 25.
This road sign is an iconic image of the Foundation's.
I did not take this.
I'm staying in a small log cabin directly in front of this view!
It's supremely beautiful.
From their site: "The mission of Ucross Foundation is to foster the creative spirit of deeply committed artists and groups by providing uninterrupted time, studio space, living accommodations, and the experience of the majestic High Plains while serving as a good steward of its historic 20,000-acre ranch."
When an invitation to perform Doodling at the Gdaski Festiwal Taca, in Gdask, a large and beautiful northern port city on the Baltic, came I took it.
Here I am on the train to the theater to catch that night's show, having arrived a few hours earlier.
The trains were fantastic, each day, throughout the trip.
Klub Zak, the venue which produces the Festival, houses the theater, where we performed, a cinema, a hip restaurant/bar, and outdoor patio.
The train station by the theater, Gdask Zaspa, looked like this.

The adventure begins flying into Key West.
Only one 50-lb.
The airport's runway, located on the southeast end of the island, is only 4,801 feet.
Landings can be abrupt.
Ours was!
We landed with a thud.
This offbeat Welcome message greets the arrivals.
A quick cab ride to the other side of the island takes minutes.
Do not expect to be in a car much.
Walking and biking are the preferred modes of transportation here.
The residency has given each of us-am here with two other artists, both painters-a bicycle and lock for the month.
