With many years of experience working with and co-founding Iranian organizations in various communities, the founders, Razieh and Sharareh, established of Beshkan Dance Academy with the goal of expressing our splendid Persian culture, through the art of Persian Dance, to the Bay Area and communities beyond. Razieh Oghabian and Sharareh Ghahremani are co-founders of Beshkan Dance Academy which was developed in 2003 in Silicon Valley.
Yasaman Fathi's first true passion was dancing, which she discovered soon after joining Beshkan Dance Academy in its opening year. Tannaz Azimi developed a strong passion for the arts and dance since she was very young; specifically falling in love. Kiana Esna-Ashari fell in love with Iranian culture, specifically Persian dance, at a very young age.
She joined Beshkan Dance. Autria is currently an assistant dance instructor for the beginners kid class at Beshkan Dance Academy. She began her early. This teen/adult class is intended for more intermediate - advanced dancers focused on performance-quality technical.

This academy was created by individuals whose love, devotion and enthusiasm for their heritage sparked the desire to educate others about their culture.
The founders of Beshkan hope that they have created an environment for the community to learn more about the beautiful Persian culture.

Individually, they have been teaching dance for over 20 years and have been active in and helped develop many cultural organizations in the community for the past 20+ years.
They originally met as undergraduate students at UC Davis.
It was there that they had their first venture as a team.
With the help of five other students, they created and co-founded a student organization at UC Davis called ISCAO (Iranian Student Cultural and Aesthetic Organization).
Individually, they have been teaching dance for over 20 years and have been active in and helped develop many cultural organizations in the community for the past 20+ years.
They originally met as undergraduate students at UC Davis.
It was there that they had their first venture as a team.
With the help of five other students, they created and co-founded a student organization at UC Davis called ISCAO (Iranian Student Cultural and Aesthetic Organization).
This class is a fun-based introduction to a structured dance which will help students with coordination, rhythm & fitness.
In this class we work with students on basic dance moves and prepare them for more formal and advanced dance training.
We also incorporate dance games to inspire the students creativity and enhance their skills and understanding of dance beats and movements.
