Oneida's Dance Studio founded in 1966 under the direction of Master Teacher and Choreographer Mrs. Oneida Quevedo de Cueto, and under the Artistic Direction of Mrs. Sonia Grimaldi Ferrera, is the first Latin American dance school in Hudson County, located in the city of Guttenberg, New Jersey. The Academy offers an extensive curriculum of the dance arts.
We are lifetime members of Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey and Professional Dance Teachers Association. Our ages range from 3 years old to adolescents breaking down into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Our students are given the opportunity to perform and participate throughout the year in dance concerts, recitals, competitions, parades and special presentations.
Oneida's Dance Studio is a lifetime participant of the Medallion Testing Program through Dance Educators of America enabling students to complete their ballet studies through a series of ballet exams. With the completion of their studies, our students are well qualified to continue dance education at a higher level such as colleges and dance companies.
