Dance Academy has been teaching children and adults the art of Ballet Folklorico or Traditional Mexican Folk Dance for over 27 years and was originally started by sisters Israela & Felissa Garcia in 1990 with the goal of "preserving our culture through the arts". The Company is blessed to be able to spread our talents and our love for our culture and what we do to our many students as well as to countless audiences throughout the beautiful State of New Mexico, the United States of America and around the World.
Ballet Folklorico (Mexican Folk Dance) classes are offered for students beginning at 2 years old thru Adult. We offer training for all levels of experience; from beginning to advanced to our performance and touring teams. ALL Baila! Baila! Dancers have several opportunities to perform throughout the year at various public and private events. Performing and Dancing are great ways to build confidence and learn complex life skills.
They help to build a strong foundation of communication & organizational skills and also help us to stay healthy.
