Samantha "Cakes" Stone is the founder, artistic director, and the lead Dance Educator of Project SLIDE and native of South Carolina, who began dancing at the tender age of two. She started her professional training at theUniversity of MN where she received her BFA in Dance. She has taught dance for over 15 years and has created several successful dance troupes.
Her love of hip hop dance led her to Atlanta, Ga where she made her dreams a reality. She has performed with artist such as Lloyd, D.Woods (Danity Kane), and for Chris Rock's hit movie "Good Hair". She has also toured with the legendary group Bell Biv Devoe for over six years.
