We are a non-profit dance studio committed to creating a positive and stimulating environment in which students of all backgrounds come together, learn to love and appreciate the art of dance, and are inspired to achieve their personal best. Join our growing dance family! If you have questions about our programs or if you need help choosing a class that's right for you please contact us.

Or if you are ready to dance with us, register online here. As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity and support of our community. Tuition funds approximately 70% of our operating expenses and the rest comes from individual, foundation, public agencies and corporate support. All donations, no matter their size, help us continue the legacy of dance in downtown Everett.

The Dance School is committed to providing financial assistance to students who have a desire to attend classes at our school. Scholarships may range up to 50% off tuition.
Services
The Dance School is a community funded, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the art of dance.
In 2006 a group of committed parents and community leaders re-created the dance school in the historic Vasa Building in downtown Everett.
This is the same building that nurtured the legacies of Betty Spooner and Mike Jordan.
The Dance School is a place where children of all abilities learn to dance, sing and perform; where creativity, individuality and self-expression are encouraged.
Utilizes dance, art, music and creative writing to build meaningful relationships; empowering trauma-impacted youth to develop tools which foster a healthy, productive future.
Fostering creativity and self confidence in children and teens through arts and culture programs.
We offer a wide range of both staging and interior design services including: real estate staging, commercial staging, property staging for advertising and image restyling, design consults and more.

Beginner dancers ages 7+ can enroll in any of our Level 1 classes.
Teens (ages 12+) who are new to Ballet can enroll in our Teen Ballet class.
90-minute street parking is available around the studio.
After 6:00pm and on the weekends there is no time limit for street parking.
There is also the EverPark Garage on Hoyt (free after 6:00pm), and the Port Gardner Garage on California (hourly fee).
We recommend you give yourself extra time to find parking before class.

At TDS, our classes reflect both the classical values and modern aesthetic of today's dance world.
Thanks to a Cultural Grant, we are able to reduce the participation fees for the 2021 Nutcracker.
This reduction is valid for 2021 only.
Detailed rehearsal schedules are sent to families two weeks before the rehearsal date.
The rehearsal schedule changes week to week to allow each routine enough time to learn their routine and practice.
We will have two Dress Rehearsals where attendance is mandatory.
Dress Rehearsals are full show run through in costume to help all performers prepare for our live performance day.
